Brief Overview

The Loadout Technician is critical for maintaining safe and efficient rail and truck loadout operations throughout their 12 hour shift. ย ย This position is responsible for using an automated system for loading products into trucks and rail cars. The job requires a self-motivated individual with the ability to switch tasks as needed between operating a computer, moving rail cars, and managing safety and sanitation standards of controlling dust accumulation while communicating and coordinating with other departments and plant personnel. Loadout Techs work a rotating 4-on, 4-off schedule and must be able to work 7am - 7pm and 7pm - 7am, rotating from days to nights every 8 weeks. Primary Responsibilities

Safetyย 

  • Keep safety at the forefront through compliance, training, identifying potential hazards, reporting incidents, knowing emergency response procedures, and actively participating in safety initiatives.
  • Maintain all interior and exterior work areas following SQF compliance and safety policies including maintaining the Master Sanitation Schedule to SDSP standards.ย 
  • Work with the safety department and SQF management to comply with employee safety, product safety, and environmental compliance program.
  • Maintain standards above minimum compliance with all governing laws and regulations.

Peopleย ย 

  • Understand and comply with facility policies to ensure all facility objectives and goals are achieved.
  • Professionally interact and clearly communicate with all facility team members and departments.ย 
  • Engage as a team member, actively completing daily tasks and additional duties.
  • Develop strong relationships with all internal departments.

Production

  • Responsible for safe and efficient operation of all loadout equipment; both truck and rail applications.
  • Perform necessary sampling, bagging/ bottling, sealing, labeling, and testing of all final products at loadout.ย 
  • Complete required inspections, documentation, and record keeping for all outbound loads.ย 
  • Participate in light, routine maintenance activities and inspections.ย 
  • Operate large machinery and equipment
  • Measure and record bin and tank inventories as necessary.
  • Work alongside other team members to preserve a safe and clean work environment.ย 
  • Seek out and communicate any safety or mechanical issues.

ย Communicate and Collaborate

  • Provide outstanding customer service with a positive attitude and a smile.
  • Notify supervisor of any observed safety, environmental, quality, or loadout opportunities.ย 
  • Perform duties outside normal responsibilities as needed to support the team and organizational goals.


Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer skills including entering data into a spreadsheet and utilizing email
  • Maintain a safe, positive work attitude and demonstrate willingness to be a team member
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work well with others
  • Experience in a processing facility is preferred

Physical Requirements

*This position requires outdoor and indoor work in all weather conditions. All PPE Will Be provided*
