Registered Nurse – IDD Services
Location: Longview, TX
Salary: $75,000–$76,000/year
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (with on-call rotation)

Your Role

As a Registered Nurse supporting individuals in our HCS/ICF group homes and ISS facility, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of those we serve. This is a field-based position involving regular travel to homes and facilities in the Longview area, as well as rotation on-call responsibilities shared among the RN team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-person assessments and implement individualized health care plans

  • Monitor and respond to changes in condition with timely, appropriate clinical decisions

  • Communicate with physicians and external providers to ensure continuity of care and consistent medical information

  • Train and delegate nursing tasks to staff; provide ongoing technical guidance

  • Participate in and complete annual staffing for each individual on your caseload

  • Check in medications, conduct regular home visits, and perform routine medication audits to ensure compliance with administration protocols

  • Monitor the overall health care needs of each individual and ensure physician’s orders are documented and executed properly

  • Maintain ongoing communication with staff, individuals served, families, and healthcare professionals

  • Support staff training and development, ensuring delegation and documentation are aligned with standards

  • Participate in a rotation on-call schedule with fellow RNs to provide 24/7 support as needed

What You Will Bring
  • Graduate of an accredited RN program

  • Current Texas RN license

  • Minimum of one year of nursing experience with individuals with IDD or in a related care setting

  • Current CPR/First Aid certification

  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, car registration, and auto insurance

  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively while balancing multiple responsibilities across various locations
  • Clear, compassionate communication and ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
