Job description

Summary of Position
The Machine Operator isresponsible for the application of production machines at Rolled MetalProducts, Inc.
Responsibilities and Duties
At a minimum, thefollowing is a basic description of typical duties and responsibilitiesexpected of the Machine Operator position. These duties are not exhaustive andare subject to change as the needs of the organization require.
• Setup and operate machine to process material as required.
• Operatemachine using control panel.
• Examinematerial processed on machine for conformity to customer specifications.
• Re-processmaterials not meeting specifications.
• DirectWarehouse Worker or Helper how to stage material for production efficiency.
• Safelydrive the Hi-lo through the plant to move coils and skids to designated areas.
• Safelyoperate the over-head crane to move coils from the slitter to packaging.
• Keepimmediate work area clean and organized throughout the day.
• Useprecision when operating tools such as tape measures, micrometers, nibblers,and calipers.
• Cross-trainother team members as assigned.
• Adhereto all RMP's safety rules, regulations, and quality standards.
• Adhere toall RMP'shandbookpolicies and procedures.
RequiredQualifications
• Highschool diploma or equivalent
• Oneor more years machine operating experience
• Computerskills necessary
• Goodwritten and oral communication skills
• Goodreading and math skills
• Goodorganizational, problem solving, and time management skills
• Abilityto measure using different tools
• Abilityto work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction
• Operatewith high integrity, maintaining positive relations with co-workers, customers,and suppliers
• Strongwork ethic; self-motivated
