Job Title: Procurement Assistant, North America Capex

Scope: North America

Location: This position can be based out of any of our sites: Englewood Cliffs, NJ, Covington, TN, St Albans, VT, or Sikeston, MO

Terms: This is a full-time project-based assignment that isanticipated to last 2 years. The selected individualwill beeligible to apply to available internal opportunities following completion of the project, although no continued employment is guaranteed.

THE ROLE:
Within this challenging role you will manage the North America Engineering Stakeholders and Support the Procurement Manager, North America Capex and will be responsible for following up all strategic activities with some operational and tactical activities assigned to you.

WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Stakeholders

  • Participate in and lead kick-off project meetings where appropriate.
  • Build and maintain beneficial relationships with Project Engineering teams.
  • Be the main contact between the Global capex procurement manager and Su's Engineering teams / Regional Bu Engineering teams.
  • Support market procurement managers in implementing strategy related to Capex portfolios
  • Lead Red List and Technology Sensitive projects were requested.
  • Support Quality, Hygienic and manufacturing Excellence Team with Local and Global Suppliers.

Global Capex Procurement Manager

  • Assist the Global Procurement Manager with the management and implementation of Capex Procurement strategy and escalation in regards of the Projects assigned
  • Build and maintain beneficial relationships with Market Procurement Managers through periodical meetings and create decks to be shared in regards of Projects assigned.
  • Lead the development and implementation of procurement strategies relevant for Projects assigned including data analysis and negotiation strategy definition.
  • Good Understanding of legislations / laws and operating context for North America
  • Support the project technology team in identifying new capable suppliers, Supplier assessment (commercial, technical).
  • Multiple Stake holder management including Internal and external i.e., Engineering, Legal, Finance, Suppliers.
  • Participate and contribute to project meetings and lead procurement planning process.
  • Run specific sourcing Projects including preparation, assessment & negotiation of tenders (incl. familiarity with e-tenders).
  • Evaluate and facilitate Decision making process taking in consideration the costs related to product life cycle, spare parts, service required and consumptions, LCC / TCO analysis.
  • Detailed analysis and decision for Award of business to suppliers / alignment with stakeholders,
  • Negotiate legal documentation - Master Purchase Agreement and Commercial Terms Contracts with suppliers for the project, in conjunction with legal team.
  • Compliance to 'Schedule of Authority applicable' for the project and country.
  • Evaluate historical data for portfolio and negotiation strategy definition.

Suppliers

  • Development, if the case, and implementation of TMICC procurement strategies relevant for the assigned Projects.
  • Manage, advise & oversee 7 step sourcing Projects
  • Assist the Global Engineering team in selecting, piloting and rolling out new suppliers with market capability.
  • Lead, Advise, Support the UPA / CTC negotiations with support of Legal for Local, Global technologies. Raise and negotiate Claims on Portfolio suppliers
  • Ensure avoiding Single Source Justification Notes
  • Actively engage with and manage suppliers on a strategic level giving suppliers feedback.

Opportunities

  • Identify and agree cost savings and cash benefit generation based on portfolios / sourcing strategies / compliance management.

Systems

  • Oversee Update of portfolio tracker for savings, cash, projects, and contracts.
  • Oversee and support the suppliers involved in the assigned projects, having right attention for overdue payments, supplier onboarding

  • University degree
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience preferably within a technical procurement position;
  • Specific procurement and or engineering education preferred;
  • Superior stakeholder management, both internal and external;
  • Ability to operate independently;
  • Ability to operate in a large organization with complex decision structures / remote relationships;
  • Experience in legal contracting, project and relationship management;
  • Proactive and positive team player;
  • Good negotiation skills for both external and internal negotiations;
  • Good communication skills;
  • Methodical and organized;
  • Good skills MS Office (more than average on MS Excel); SharePoint; sap and most common tools available for office and communication automation
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills,
