About the Encore program Overview: A paid, 12-week internship designed for experienced talent who have taken a career break of 2 years or more (over a continuous period) Your role: You'll be a contributor, not a trainee, from day1—solving real problems, inventing solutions, and collaborating with TI teams. Support: Personalized mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities are built into the program. Outcome: High-performing participants will be considered for full-time employment at the end of the program. Qualifications, skills and requirements A career break of at least2years Intent to return to a full-time role at TI after the program. The TI tax department provides an excellent opportunity to gain experience in and exposure to complex tax issues and related responsibilities entailed with working for a multinational publicly traded company. This position shares responsibility for the federal and state income tax forecast and compliance processes as well as involvement in special projects that may provide cash tax benefits, tax rate benefits and/or improve, tighten and streamline processes. Specifically, this role is responsible for the following: Assist with complex federal and state income tax return preparation Participate in various aspects of tax compliance, such as tax calculations for fixed assets, stock compensation, and R&D credit, and managing inputs and consolidated return tie-outs in the tax compliance software.
