Is it normal to have no work as an intern?

It is not uncommon for interns to have periods with little or no assigned work, especially at the start of the internship or during slow periods. However, interns are generally expected to gain experience and contribute, so if no work persists, it may indicate poor management or lack of structured tasks. Communicating with supervisors can help clarify expectations and seek additional responsibilities.

Can you get a job out of an internship?

Yes, many internships serve as a pathway to full-time employment, especially if the intern demonstrates strong skills and fits well with the company culture. Employers often use internships to evaluate potential employees and may extend job offers based on performance during the internship period.

Is $30 an hour good for an intern?

For an internship, earning $30 an hour is considered above average in many industries, especially for roles requiring specialized skills or certifications. Interns typically earn less, often minimum wage or slightly above, but paid internships at this rate can indicate a competitive or highly skilled position. Factors such as location, industry, and the intern's experience influence whether this rate is considered good.
