A telehealth-focused pharmacist position is available to provide Medication Therapy Management (MTM) consulting remotely, servicing multiple states including Louisiana, where the hub is located. This contract role spans 13 weeks with potential extensions, supporting a telepharmacy service expanding nationwide by October. Candidates licensed in Louisiana and multiple other states are highly desirable for ongoing work opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct virtual patient consultations, including Comprehensive Medication Reviews (CMRs) and Targeted Medication Reviews (TMRs), via phone or video
- Address medication side effects, answer therapy-related questions, and improve patient adherence
- Perform utilization management by evaluating prior authorizations, formulary exceptions, and step-therapy limits per clinical guidelines
- Collaborate with prescribers to recommend cost-effective, formulary-compliant alternatives for restricted or non-formulary drugs
- Identify and reach out proactively to patients and providers to close gaps in care related to chronic conditions
- Support formulary management by translating clinical intent into claims adjudication rules and reviewing complex claims data
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, state telepharmacy regulations, and client contracts with meticulous clinical documentation
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy
- Active, unrestricted pharmacist license in one or more relevant states (multi-state licensure preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical pharmacy experience, preferably in PBM, managed care, or telehealth settings
- Strong clinical knowledge in chronic disease management, drug utilization review, and formulary navigation
- Proficient with telehealth platforms, EHR systems, and PBM claims software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for patient counseling and provider collaboration
