Job Description

As a Part-Time PR Specialist at HexaGroup, you will support public relations strategy and execution for our clients in the energy and industrial sectors. Working closely with our account and strategy teams, you will play a key role in enhancing media visibility, crafting compelling narratives, and maintaining strong relationships with industry journalists and publications. This is a part-time or project-based position, ideal for a seasoned professional seeking flexible work with high-impact clients.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement strategic PR plans tailored to energy and industrial markets

  • Craft press releases, media pitches, and thought leadership content that aligns with client messaging and positioning

  • Identify and engage with key media outlets, journalists, and industry publications

  • Monitor media coverage, prepare coverage reports, and provide strategic counsel to clients based on results

  • Collaborate with content, creative, and account teams to ensure messaging consistency across channels

  • Support event-related PR efforts, including trade show press kits and media outreach

Qualifications

Education and Professional Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, or a related field

  • 5+ years of public relations experience, preferably with energy, industrial, or B2B clients

  • Demonstrated track record of securing media placements in trade and national publications

Essential Skills:

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills

  • Strong network of media contacts in energy and industry sectors preferred

  • Confidence managing multiple deadlines and fast-moving projects

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to provide counsel and direction to clients
