Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough mental health evaluations, crisis intervention, and follow-up care to ensure comprehensive patient assessments.
  • Analyze and determine appropriate mental health care dispositions for patients, coordinating with relevant institutional programs and the Department of Correction.
  • Lead group treatment sessions focused on support and recovery within various settings, including mental health observation units.
  • Complete necessary documentation and statistical reports in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Engage in weekly clinical supervision with a Clinical Supervisor to enhance therapeutic efficacy and professional growth.
  • Participate in mental health and medical rounds as well as case conferences to develop and implement patient treatment plans.
  • Possibly conduct psychological testing and supervise social work interns or student volunteers, as assigned.
  • Execute other responsibilities as directed by the Unit Chief or Assistant Unit Chief, maintaining flexibility in meeting organizational needs.
