• Conduct thorough assessments, including mental health evaluations and risk assessments, to establish individual client needs.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans using evidence-based therapeutic approaches and techniques tailored to each client’s situation.
• Provide individual and group therapy sessions addressing an array of mental health disorders such as depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and eating disorders.
• Regularly monitor client progress through ongoing evaluations, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Serve as a liaison with other healthcare providers, offering referrals for additional services or consultations, such as psychiatric evaluations.
• Encourage clients to develop personal coping strategies and provide them with tools to overcome their challenges, facilitating their journey towards recovery and personal growth.

In this varied role, counselors will work with a wide range of clients, including adolescents, adults, and families. Each client presents unique challenges, and our approaches are designed to respond effectively to the diverse backgrounds, cultures, and experiences of those we serve. Understanding the cultural context of our clients is crucial, as we aim to provide culturally competent therapy to foster a trusting therapeutic relationship.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Georgia.
• A minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience in mental health counseling.
• In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment modalities, and a strong commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards.
• Demonstrated proficiency in delivering both individual and group therapy sessions utilizing diverse and inclusive approaches.
• Strong crisis intervention skills with the ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven capacity to establish rapport with clients from various backgrounds.

• Experience in a community health setting or similar environment is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with legal and ethical considerations in mental health care delivery.
• Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and teletherapy platforms.
