• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations to assess clients' needs and develop appropriate treatment plans tailored to individual challenges.
• Provide effective crisis intervention and ongoing assessments to monitor client progress and adjust therapeutic approaches as necessary.
• Deliver family and group therapy sessions, focusing on fostering communication and effective relational dynamics among clients.
• Oversee and manage medication plans in collaboration with medical professionals, ensuring clients have the resources needed for comprehensive care.
• Document and complete all required progress notes and statistical reports, maintaining accurate and confidential records in compliance with regulations.
• Collaborate with social workers and other professionals to create discharge plans for clients, ensuring a smooth transition to community support systems.
• Participate in weekly clinical supervision meetings to enhance skills and receive feedback, fostering continuous professional growth.
• Assist in case conferences and treatment planning discussions to explore multi-faceted strategies for addressing complex client needs.
• Possibly supervise social work interns or volunteers, providing mentorship and guidance as they develop their clinical skills.

In this role, you will primarily work with teenagers and adolescents, addressing a range of mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, and relational issues. Creating a safe and supportive environment where young clients feel comfortable voicing their concerns is critical. You will be exploring therapeutic techniques that resonate with this age group, promoting resilience and coping strategies through relatable and applicable methods.

• A Master’s or Doctorate degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required for this position.
• Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a therapist in the state of California is essential.
