Job description

Position Overview

Humanistic Counseling, LLC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic team on a full-time remote basis. Our ideal candidate is an experienced professional with a strong commitment to providing exceptional mental health care and support to clients across various demographics. In this remote role, you will leverage your skills to conduct individual therapy sessions, assessments, and create comprehensive treatment plans, all while working from the comfort of your own home.

About the Organization

At Humanistic Counseling, LLC, we prioritize the mental health and well-being of our clients, from those facing significant emotional challenges to those seeking support for everyday stressors. Our organization operates a robust online platform that facilitates connections between licensed mental health professionals and clients, ensuring accessibility to vital mental health resources nationwide. We pride ourselves on fostering an inclusive and supportive environment where counselors can thrive and grow in their practice.

Work Environment

This position is designed for a fully remote work setting, allowing for great flexibility and work-life balance. Our remote structure not only enables you to tailor your schedule based on your personal needs but also ensures that you can connect with clients from the comfort of your home. The team at Humanistic Counseling shares regular updates and virtual meetings to promote collaboration and peer support, ensuring that you are never alone in your practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough and insightful remote assessments to identify clients' mental health challenges and develop tailored treatment plans to address their needs.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to provide individual therapy sessions that resonate with clientsโ€™ unique backgrounds.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to set therapeutic objectives, monitor progress, and make necessary adjustments to their treatment plans as needed.
  • Facilitate teletherapy sessions, ensuring a safe and supportive online environment for clients seeking mental health assistance.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation in compliance with ethical guidelines and regulatory standards to protect client confidentiality and care quality.
  • Engage in continuous professional development opportunities to advance your clinical expertise and stay informed about the latest mental health trends and methodologies.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working with a diverse array of clients who have been pre-screened for stability and low acuity needs. This allows counselors to focus on delivering high-quality care without the added pressure associated with acute mental health crises. Your caseload may include individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, adjustment issues, and life transitions, thereby presenting you with a rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact in their lives.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related mental health field is required.
  • An active, unrestricted license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is essential. Please note that we do not accept interns or candidates with limited permits.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a record of effectively establishing rapport with diverse client populations.
  • A clean professional license, with no disciplinary actions or violations.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of three years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, with a proven track record of successful client outcomes.
  • Experience with teletherapy and familiarity with digital counseling platforms is highly preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive annual salary ranging from $115,000 to $130,000, commensurate with experience and credentials.
  • Full-time counselors are eligible for a monthly healthcare stipend to support overall well-being.
  • Enjoy a completely flexible work schedule that accommodates your needs, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.
  • The opportunity to utilize our platformโ€™s services for personal use at no cost, provided you maintain an active role as a counselor.
Career Growth Opportunities

At Humanistic Counseling, we are committed to the growth and development of our team members. As you enhance your clinical skills and gain experience, there are opportunities for advancement within the organization. We encourage our counselors to explore leadership roles, participate in specialized training, and contribute to organizational initiatives that align with their interests and career aspirations.
