We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Consultant to join a dynamic, client-focused professional services team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with innovative organizations in life sciences, capital management, and emerging startups, delivering high-impact IT solutions that drive business outcomes. You'll collaborate with a talented team while supporting clients across the Boston area through a mix of on-site and remote engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Client-Focused IT Consulting:
Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, supporting day-to-day IT operations while building strong, relationship-driven partnerships

Technology Solutions & Implementation:
Scope, design, and implement tailored technology solutions that address business needs and improve operational efficiency

Operational Support:
Manage IT environments, including user administration, system access, and ongoing technical support for executives and staff

Troubleshooting & Escalations:
Diagnose and resolve technical issues ranging from routine requests to complex escalations with a methodical approach

Cloud & SaaS Management:
Administer and support cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and SaaS tools such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Box, Dropbox, and Egnyte

Device & Identity Management:
Manage MDM solutions (Intune, Addigy) and identity platforms (Active Directory, Azure AD, Okta, DUO), including MFA/SSO configurations

Documentation & Process Improvement:
Maintain accurate documentation of systems, assets, and processes while continuously identifying opportunities for optimization

End-User Training & Enablement:
Train users and provide guidance on leveraging technology effectively to meet business objectives

Project Work & Office Support:
Assist with office moves, system upgrades, AV deployments, and internal IT initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of general IT support or consulting experience
  • Strong experience with macOS and Windows desktop environments
  • Expertise in Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace administration
  • Experience with MDM tools such as Intune or Addigy
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory and Azure AD
  • Experience with identity and access tools (Okta, DUO, MFA/SSO solutions)
  • Familiarity with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and GUI-based network configuration
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills, including executive-level support
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple client environments
  • Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills
  • Team-oriented mindset with a focus on collaboration and continuous improvement
  • Authorized to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting life sciences or financial services environments
  • Familiarity with life sciences applications (GraphPad, Schrรถdinger, MOE, etc.)
  • Scripting experience (Bash, Zsh, PowerShell)
  • Experience with APIs, automation, or custom tooling
  • Advanced MDM customization experience
  • Technology strategy and roadmapping experience
  • Project management experience across small to mid-sized initiatives
