Bloomingdale Psychotherapy Center is seeking a dedicated and qualified Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our remote team based in Kent, Washington. This full-time role focuses on delivering high-quality mental health care to individuals grappling with behavioral issues, including those with severe mental illnesses and substance use histories. • Conduct mental health evaluations to determine clients’ psychological needs and develop appropriate care strategies.
• Provide crisis intervention services—including immediate assessment and support—for patients in critical distress.
• Facilitate thorough assessments and ongoing follow-up care to monitor patient progress and adapt treatment plans as necessary.
• Compile and complete statistical reports to track treatment outcomes and contribute to organizational effectiveness.
• Collaborate with the Department of Corrections to ensure seamless access to mental health services for incarcerated individuals.
• Coordinate care with other institutional programs, recognizing the importance of interdisciplinary cooperation in patient treatment.
• Lead group therapy sessions for patients in observation units, using evidence-based techniques to foster group cohesion and growth.
• Maintain detailed and up-to-date documentation as per regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
• Engage in clinical supervision with a qualified Clinical Supervisor on a weekly basis to enhance your skills and professional growth.
• Participate in medical rounds, case conferences, and treatment planning discussions to integrate holistic health approaches in patient care.
• May conduct psychological testing and supervise social work interns or student volunteers as needed.
• Complete other responsibilities as assigned by the Unit Chief or Clinical Supervisor to support the clinical function and client needs.

You will be primarily working with individuals who are incarcerated and require mental health services. This population often faces complex challenges, including histories of behavioral problems, substance abuse disorders, and severe mental illnesses. Your role will be essential in assessing their needs and providing targeted intervention to help them navigate their mental health challenges effectively.

• A valid mental health license such as LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT within the state of Washington.
• A Master’s degree or Doctorate in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• At least two years of full-time, paid professional experience providing direct client care in a behavioral health setting.
• Three additional years of post-licensure experience, demonstrating a commitment to continuous professional development.

Ideal candidates will possess over five years of extensive, full-time experience delivering direct patient care in varying behavioral health contexts. Preference will be given to those with proven expertise in assessment and treatment of individuals facing severe mental illness, substance use disorders, and behavioral challenges. Inpatient experience and familiarity with correctional health services will be highly regarded.

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 115,000 to 130,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
