This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility while maintaining productivity. You will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals and engage in regular communication to ensure comprehensive patient care. • Conduct thorough assessments of patients and diagnose them as necessary, utilizing evidence-based tools and methodologies, such as the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5), to develop effective and individualized treatment plans.

• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of mental health interventions, adjusting strategies as needed to improve patient outcomes and safety.

• Maintain accurate and timely treatment records and clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory standards and departmental policies, using current technological platforms.

• Collaborate with patients, their families, and multidisciplinary team members to establish comprehensive treatment plans that prioritize patient needs and desired outcomes.

• Develop and implement therapy goals and interventions tailored to individual patient needs, ensuring cultural competency and sensitivity are part of your approach.

• Network with various healthcare providers to coordinate referrals and integrate care effectively, becoming a vital link between patients and necessary treatment services.

• Engage in educational opportunities by mentoring students, interns, and volunteers, contributing positively to their learning through supervision and guidance.

• Participate in peer reviews, chart audits, and collaborative clinical meetings aimed at enhancing team performance and patient care standards.

Your primary focus will be on patients impacted by cancer diagnoses. This demographic often faces unique emotional and psychological challenges. You will provide them with compassionate care, utilizing your expertise to support their journey toward improved mental health and well-being.

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New York.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, ideally working with cancer patients or in outpatient therapy.

Experience using evidence-based practices in mental health care settings, particularly with oncology populations, will be viewed favorably. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and remote therapy technologies is also advantageous.
