• Conduct comprehensive assessments and, when necessary, diagnose mental health conditions using established clinical tools such as the DSM-5 to create tailored treatment plans that reflect the diverse cultural backgrounds of our patient population.
• Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of implemented therapeutic strategies, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans that align with the identified patient needs and anticipated outcomes.
• Document all patient interactions meticulously, maintaining accurate treatment records, reports, and clinical documentation to meet regulatory and organizational standards.
• Collaborate with patients and their families to develop holistic and achievable treatment objectives that prioritize safety, symptom management, and quality of life improvements.
• Act as a liaison between patients and additional treatment providers, facilitating referrals and ensuring continuity of care throughout the patient journey.
• Engage in mentorship activities, providing education and support to students, interns, and peers, fostering an environment of continuous learning and professional development.
• Participate in peer reviews and clinical collaborations, contributing to the ongoing enhancement of team competencies and service delivery standards.

The LCSW will focus particularly on serving individuals and families impacted by cancer diagnoses, addressing their mental health concerns through evidence-based therapeutic interventions. Understanding the emotional and psychological ramifications of such diagnoses is crucial, as the role demands compassion, patience, and an in-depth understanding of the cancer care continuum.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Current license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Arizona.
• Minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience, particularly in outpatient settings dealing with mental health challenges.

• Experience in oncology social work or related fields is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).
