  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans, including pre-crisis and crisis strategies tailored to client needs.
  • Maintain up-to-date and timely documentation compliant with regulatory standards while utilizing state-of-the-art electronic health records systems.
  • Collaborate with other mental health professionals to create and implement positive behavior support plans, ensuring holistic care for clients.
  • Participate in ongoing quality assurance processes to meet clinical licensing and accreditation standards.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and various state agencies and community partners, fostering collaborative relationships to enhance service delivery.
  • Stay engaged in professional development by attending workshops, conferences, and training sessions to remain current with best practices in mental health care.

  • Provide mentorship and support to junior staff and interns, enhancing team collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by the Clinic Director, contributing to the overall effectiveness of our service delivery.

As an LMHC with Genesis Health Clinic, you will work with a diverse array of clients experiencing mental health challenges, from depression and anxiety to substance use disorders and developmental disabilities. Your approach will focus on client empowerment, resilience, and wellness, creating personalized plans that respect the individual backgrounds and circumstances of each client.

Qualifications

  • Possession of an independent LMHC license by the state of Florida, allowing for the practice of counseling without supervision.
  • Proficiency in maintaining clinical records and preparing necessary reports accurately and efficiently.
  • The ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team setting, promoting a culture of teamwork and shared goals.
  • Excellent communication skills with the capacity to express ideas clearly and effectively in both written and verbal formats.
  • Strong analytical skills to exercise judgment and make informed, independent decisions based on professional knowledge.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in telehealth or remote counseling practices can enhance your effectiveness in this role, providing valuable insights into virtual client engagement.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based practices and treatment modalities related to mental health, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and trauma-informed care.
  • Previous work in multiple service delivery models or diverse populations can be advantageous.
