Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored treatment plans, including crisis management strategies and behavioral guidelines to effectively support client needs.
  • Document client interactions and treatment outcomes accurately and promptly to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal protocols.
  • Employ evidence-based screening tools and therapeutic methodologies in collaboration with the clinical team to enhance treatment effectiveness.
  • Work within multidisciplinary teams to create and implement positive behavior support plans that resonate with each client's unique challenges.
  • Actively engage in licensing and accreditation processes, demonstrating accountability and professionalism in your practice.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The licensed counselor will focus on diverse populations, including individuals facing emotional and behavioral challenges, those recovering from substance use disorders, and clients with developmental disabilities or brain injuries. Your ability to establish trust and rapport quickly will be crucial in facilitating effective therapy sessions and achieving meaningful therapeutic outcomes.

Qualifications
  • A Master's Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or a closely related field.
  • A completed full-time clinical internship in a recognized mental health setting is required.
  • Must be license eligible in the State of Florida; licensure must be obtained within a designated timeframe.
  • A valid driver's license in good standing is necessary for potential client engagements or professional obligations.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build trustworthy, empathetic relationships with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage documentation and treatment plans effectively.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience providing telehealth services or working in a remote counseling environment is highly preferred.
  • Experience with specific therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or Motivational Interviewing (MI) is advantageous.
