Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough client assessments to evaluate the presence and severity of mood disorder symptoms, gathering comprehensive histories and relevant information.
• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients to ensure alignment with their unique goals and preferences.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to address mood disorders effectively.
• Provide ongoing education to clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatments, and effective self-care practices.
• Monitor client progress by regularly reviewing treatment plans and adjusting strategies as necessary to optimize outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and medical professionals for integrated and coordinated care.
• Stay informed about the latest advancements in the field of mental health treatment, incorporating new findings into clinical practice.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and security of client information.
• Engage in team meetings and consultative sessions, sharing insights and strategies to enhance collective clinical skills.
• Act as an advocate for clients, aiming to reduce stigma surrounding mental health issues and promote mental health awareness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with individuals experiencing various mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related conditions. Your expertise in empathetic listening and therapeutic intervention will be instrumental in helping clients navigate their challenges and cultivate coping strategies tailored to their unique circumstances.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid mental health counseling license (LCSW, LMFT, or LPC) in the state of Texas.
• Comprehensive knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities, particularly CBT and DBT, with a focus on mood disorders.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to empathize and build rapport across diverse populations.

Preferred Experience

Ideal candidates will have a proven track record of delivering effective treatment outcomes for clients with mood disorders. Familiarity with psychopharmacology and experience working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team are highly desirable. Experience in telehealth settings is a plus, as it ensures adaptability to the digital therapeutic environment.

Compensation and Benefits
