• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to evaluate their mental health status using relevant diagnostic tools, including the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM).
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that reflect the unique needs of each patient, incorporating input from patients and their families.
• Perform ongoing evaluations of patient progress, adjusting therapeutic interventions and strategies as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely records of patient treatment and progress, utilizing current technology in compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers and referral agencies to coordinate patient care and enhance support systems.
• Contribute to the education and mentoring of interns, students, and peers, enhancing the overall knowledge and expertise within the team.

This role specifically targets patients and families experiencing the emotional impact of cancer diagnoses. The focus is on providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health support tailored to the distinct needs of this demographic. The Licensed Clinical Social Worker will utilize specialized techniques to address various symptoms and challenges unique to our patient population, promoting resilience and coping strategies that facilitate a healthier outlook on their diagnoses.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Possession of a current State license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on empathetic engagement.
• Ability to work comfortably in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.

• Previous experience in an outpatient mental health setting, particularly with patients facing chronic illnesses.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practice methodologies and therapeutic interventions tailored to cancer care.
• Experience in performing assessments and developing treatment plans in a clinical setting.

The annual salary range for this position is between $90,000 and $105,000, reflecting our commitment to offering competitive and above-market compensation.
