Minimum Qualifications of Education and Experience Expected starting salary range $27.14 to $36.25 hourly. Full range $27.14 to $45.35. Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in business, administrative assistant or related field and one (1) year of experience in a similar position as listed in the work functions

OR High School graduate, G.E.D., or foreign education equivalent to a U.S. High School Diploma and three (3) years of experience in similar position as listed in the work functions. OR Combination of education and experience equivalent to three (3) years of experience in a similar position as listed in the work functions

Required Specialist Qualifications: Ability to obtain the necessary certification to meet the Department of State or Department of Vehicle Services requirement as an agent or within six (6) months of employment. Regular and reliable attendance is a necessary component of job/position. Individuals required to use County vehicles and equipment must have a valid driver's license and be free of any major traffic violations for the last three (3) years.

Nature of Work Under supervision, works independently and with attention to detail, to recommend, implement, and maintain policies and procedures. Serves as the subject matter expert related to the area of assignment. Maintains specialized knowledge of established laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.

Greets, assists, and directs customers and performs administrative support duties. Processes applications for area of assignment including real estate document recordings, certificates of real estate value, collection and balancing of recording fees collected, abstracting services, tax collection, and elections. Supports a diverse, respectful, and inclusive workplace.

Examples of Work Processes and records real estate documents, voter registration and absentee applications Inspects documents for recordability and valid legal description. Reviews transfer documents for proper chain of title, completes certificate of real estate sale information and split requirements. Creates new Torrens certificates when required under new ownership.

Collects fees for services including tax, balances EFTs and account receivable funds. Reviews and accepts plats recorded. Provides abstracting services: abstracting, conditions, and researching projects.

Assists with the absentee voting process including absentee by mail, in person and early voting. Interprets and explains policy, regulations, and procedures regarding elections, recording and transferring of real estate documents, certificates of real estate value, abstracting services, and plat reviews. Troubleshoots technology and office equipment.

Performs complex administrative support tasks including preparing, editing, and proofreading reports, documentation, training materials, and correspondence. Trains and mentors' staff, volunteers, and partner agencies. Provides backup support for other functions in the department.

Performs related work as required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of policies, regulations, statutes, procedures, and practices pertaining to the area of specialization. Knowledge of legal documents, terminology, legal descriptions, and notarization procedures.

Knowledge of data privacy policies, regulations, statutes, and practices. Skill in the use of computers and technology. Skill in the use of basic office equipment.

Skill in the use of business math to complete cash transactions with accuracy. Ability to perform complex administrative support tasks and make routine decisions in accordance with laws and policies. Ability to maintain the confidentiality of information.

Ability to organize and prioritize daily work tasks while experiencing multiple interruptions. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to work independently as well as within a team. Ability to train and mentor others.
