Job description

AI Finance Analyst | Full-Time | On-Site (Provo, UT)

About Atonom At Atonom.ai, we are defining the Autonomous Era by building the world's first true "Cloud Employees" - intelligent AI agents capable of executing complex work across Sales, Marketing, Support, and HR. We believe growth should be limited only by ambition, not headcount. Join us as we build the infrastructure for the next generation of work.

Role

This is not a traditional finance role. We are looking for someone who thinks in systems, moves fast with data, and sees AI as a core part of how financial work gets done - not a novelty to explore later.

As an AI Finance Analyst, you will support the Head of Finance across budgeting, reporting, forecasting, and analysis. You will also help us figure out how AI tools can accelerate every part of that work. If you are excited by the idea of building leaner, smarter financial workflows at a company that is literally in the business of autonomous intelligence, this role was designed for you.

What You'll Do

  • Financial Planning & Analysis: Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across the business.
  • Reporting: Build and maintain financial reports and dashboards that give leadership a clear view of company performance.
  • AI-Augmented Workflows: Actively use and improve AI tooling (primarily Claude) to automate recurring analysis, accelerate reporting, and draft financial narratives.
  • Data Management: Organize and maintain financial data with precision so models and reports stay reliable.
  • Ad Hoc Analysis: Assist with unit economics, investor-facing materials, and other strategic finance tasks as the business grows.
  • Process Improvement: Document and improve internal finance processes, with a bias toward automation and efficiency.

Who You Are

  • Technologically fluent: You hold a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Technology, or a related field. You have up to 2 years of experience or relevant internships.
  • AI-forward: You already use AI tools in your workflow. You know how to prompt effectively, think critically about AI outputs, and identify where automation can replace manual work.
  • Numerically sharp: Numbers feel natural to you. You catch errors, understand why accuracy in finance matters, and can translate data into clear narratives.
  • Spreadsheet-proficient: Comfortable building and navigating financial models in Excel or Google Sheets. Bonus if you have experience connecting spreadsheets to external data sources or automating them with scripts.
  • Systems thinker: You do not just complete tasks - you notice inefficiencies and ask how things could work better.
  • Detail-oriented and dependable: You check your work, ask clarifying questions, and care about getting it right.

Your First 90 Days

  • Month 1: Learn the business, the financial stack, and current reporting and budgeting workflows. Begin identifying where AI tooling can add leverage.
  • Month 2: Take ownership of recurring reporting tasks and contribute to the monthly close process. Start running AI-assisted analysis on a regular basis.
  • Month 3: Support a forecasting or planning cycle with increasing independence. Deliver at least one AI-enabled process improvement.

Technical Skills

  • Excel and/or Google Sheets (financial modeling)
  • AI tools - primarily Claude (analysis, drafting, automation)
  • Google Suite

Why Join

  • Direct development: You will work closely with the Head of Finance - not handed a manual and left alone.
  • Broad exposure: FP&A, reporting, and strategic finance from day one - not a narrow function.
  • Real responsibility: Strong performance creates a clear path toward a senior finance role as the company scales.
  • Front-row seat to AI: You will work with the tools we build, not just read about them.

Benefits

  • Start building your PTO hours on Day 1.
  • Access to a competitive health benefits package.
  • Paid holidays and company events.
  • Competitive salary
