What You Will Do:

Guidehouse is seeking an Associate Epidemiologist to support public health analytics, surveillance, research, and data modernization initiatives as part of our Technology AI/Data capability. This role supports senior epidemiologists, data scientists, and public health subject matter experts in analyzing health data, monitoring trends, validating datasets, and producing reports and visualizations that inform public health decision making.

  • Support epidemiologic analysis of surveillance, clinical, claims, survey, and other public health datasets.

  • Assist with data cleaning, validation, quality assurance, and preparation of analysis-ready datasets.

  • Develop descriptive statistics, trend analyses, tables, figures, and routine surveillance reports.

  • Support development of dashboards, visualizations, and reporting products for technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Assist in documentation activities including data dictionaries, metadata, codebooks, standard operating procedures, and analytic methods documentation.

  • Conduct literature reviews and support evidence synthesis activities.

  • Collaborate with epidemiologists, biostatisticians, data scientists, and informaticists on public health analytics and data modernization initiatives.

  • Support technical assistance, training, and stakeholder engagement activities.

  • Maintain quality, version control, and reproducibility standards across analytic deliverables.

  • Participate in project meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Roles is contingent upon contract award.

What You Will Need:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident. and must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DHS "PUBLIC TRUST

  • Bachelor's degree in Epidemiology, Public Health, Biostatistics, Health Sciences, Data Science, or related field.

  • ONE (1) or more years of professional experience supporting epidemiology, surveillance, public health analytics, research, or health data activities.

  • Experience working with large datasets using one or more statistical programming languages such as SAS, R, Python, SQL, or similar tools.

  • Familiarity with epidemiologic principles, public health surveillance methods, and data quality practices.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.

What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Master's degree (MPH/MS) in Epidemiology, Public Health, Biostatistics, or related field.

  • Experience supporting federal, state, local, tribal, or territorial public health programs.

  • Experience developing dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, R Shiny, or similar platforms.

  • Experience conducting literature reviews or supporting scientific publications.

  • Familiarity with data governance, metadata management, or documentation standards.

  • Exposure to cloud analytics platforms such as Databricks, Azure, Snowflake, or Palantir Foundry.

  • Experience with machine learning, artificial intelligence, or natural language processing applications in public health.

The annual salary range for this position is $53,000.00-$88,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
