Electrical Design Engineer

As a member of the engineering staff, the Electrical Design Engineer must be accomplished, self-motivated, with the ability to design, maintain and support our industry-leading products and systems. The Electrical Design Engineer will work across a variety of functional groups that are directly involved in engineering, product development, and some R&D. The Electrical Design Engineer will also act as the resident subject matter expert in making critical design decisions, ongoing standards, and improvements over time.

Essential Functions

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Evaluates electrical systems, products, components, and applications by researching specifications and designing complete systems; applying knowledge of electricity and materials.

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Develops electrical products by studying customer requirements; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials.

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Develops manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for building and assembling electrical components; soliciting observations from operators.

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Prepares product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Provides engineering information by answering questions and requests.

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Maintains product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations.

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Develops and maintains electrical design standards and a product database using relevant and effective computer programs for the purpose; entering data.

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Participates in relationships with partner vendors to coordinate future design directions.

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Completes projects by training and guiding technicians on critical electrical design elements.

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops.

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Familiar with PLC Programming is a plus, but not necessary.
