Job description

DENIM PRODUCTION ASSOCIATE

Responsibilities 
• Communications for fabric vendors, production facilities, pattern makers, and sample houses. 
• Prepare/maintain cost sheets per style and negotiate costs with factories and partners to sustain budgetary constraints. 
• Ability to use cost data to develop tactical responses and strategies. 
• Develop production calendar and meet all shipment and delivery deadlines. 
• Monitor factories daily to ensure garments are held to company’s quality expectation standards and to meet shipping deadlines. 
• Facilitate and assist in garment fittings with Creative Director to ensure production-friendly construction and timeframe. 
• Track and allocate goods from all domestic agents necessary for production. 
• Take the lead on quality control to ensure all garments are finished up to designer level standards. 
• Elevate and communicate high risk potential order problems and issues as appropriate. 
• Lead point person for all assistants and interns within the company. 
Qualifications 
• Individual must be a self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and great sense of urgency. 
• Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize. 
• Must be passionate about the fashion industry and have a deep desire to learn the intricacies of the creative and product lifecycle. 
• Preferred language skills in English & Korean. 
• 2 years of experience in apparel production

Knowledge/Understanding of fabrics and different garment wash processes that help problem solve production issues will be plus. 
• Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel, and N41 Program. 
• Demonstrate proactive problem solving skills. 
• Strong costing and negotiation skills. 
• Detail oriented with strong follow through – able to organize and prioritize multiple projects. 
• Create and maintain a cooperative team environment that promotes high performance standards and attainment of goals.
