Job Title: Test Engineer
Location: Kalamazoo, Michigan
Duration: 18-Month Contract
Pay Rate: $55/hour

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Test Engineer to support engineering activities within manufacturing, production, operations, and testing environments. This role is responsible for performing engineering analysis, supporting product testing and validation, troubleshooting manufacturing and equipment issues, and contributing to continuous process and quality improvements.

The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering foundation, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional engineering and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

Testing & Validation
  • Perform testing and validation activities on manufactured products, components, systems, and equipment to ensure compliance with quality and performance standards
  • Support the development and execution of test plans, procedures, and engineering evaluations
  • Analyze test data and provide recommendations for process, product, or equipment improvements
Engineering & Manufacturing Support
  • Support manufacturing and production engineering activities related to equipment, systems, and operational processes
  • Assist in designing, scaling, and improving manufacturing processes, tooling, instruments, and equipment
  • Troubleshoot engineering and manufacturing issues related to equipment failures, component defects, or process inefficiencies
  • Participate in root cause analysis and support corrective action implementation
Process Improvement & Documentation
  • Develop and apply engineering standards, procedures, and best practices
  • Support engineering documentation, reporting, and technical analysis activities
  • Assist with estimating project timelines, testing schedules, and resource requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, production, maintenance, and quality teams
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
