Job description

Join Toshiba America Business Solutions as a Field Service Technician I in Rochester, NY.

You’ll work with industry-leading office technology while supporting customers throughout your assigned territory. From troubleshooting and repairs to installations and upgrades, you’ll play a key role in keeping multifunction printers, copiers, and Managed Print Services (MPS) environments running at their best.

What you’ll do

  • Maintain, service, and repair printers, copiers, and other office technology at customer locations
  • Provide product training and support to customers
  • Diagnose equipment issues and perform installations, upgrades, modifications, removals, and retrofits.
  • Complete service calls based on priority while managing your schedule effectively
  • Maintain parts inventory, tools, and test equipment, and perform preventative maintenance
  • Complete required Toshiba, dealer, and manufacturer training, and rebuild components in the shop as needed
  • Accurately document service activities and follow safety policies and procedures

What You’ll Bring

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in technical repair, service, installation, training, or support of copier and office equipment, Photo ID systems/software, printers, ID Badge systems, fingerprint equipment, or comparable products
  • Relevant education, certifications, or internships in related fields may be considered in lieu of the required experience
  • Experience with document management systems, multifunction printers (MFPs), print devices, and/or 6 months of Shop Tech experience is a plus
  • Intermediate computer skills and strong electro-mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform frequent bending, lifting, and reaching
  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance coverage per Toshiba policy for positions requiring the use of a personal vehicle for company business

Earn Well

  • $18.00-$19.00, depending on experience
  • Monthly Technician Bonus up to $450.00, per month
  • Mileage Reimbursement or Fleet Vehicle and gas card (based on availability)
