The Role: Visionz Designs is seeking an experienced Lead Screen Print Press Operator to join our team. Reporting to the Screen Print & Embroidery Manager, a successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating an automatic screen printing press to ensure timely delivery of orders. A keen eye for quality control and the ability to spot and troubleshoot defects is a must.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate automatic screen printing presses to print various garments such as t-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies and other apparel items.
  • Load screens, inks and squeegees into screen printing press.
  • Follow job tickets and artwork specifications to ensure correct placement, registration, and color.
  • Perform QC checks during print runs and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
  • Follow instructions from the Screen Print & Embroidery Manager and follow production schedules to meet deadlines.
  • Breakdown screen printing press when production runs are complete. Removing screens, ink and squeegees.
  • Follow cleaning and maintenance schedules to ensure a safe and organized workspace.
  • Working in other departments may be required from time to time.
Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years experience operating automatic screen printing presses.
  • ROQ automatic printing press experience is preferred but not essential.
  • Understanding of different screen meshes, squeegee durometers, ink types and garment styles.
  • Understanding of 5S practices is a bonus but not essential.
  • Ability to problem solve and adapt to a changing work environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks as part of the screen printing process.
