Job description

The SCADA Controls Engineer develops and configures the SCADA solutions for implementation in industrial material-handling projects. This position works closely with the Technical Lead to ensure successful SCADA deployment and provides post-implementation support, troubleshooting, and training
What you'll be handling
  • Develops and configures SCADA solutions, including Ignition, WinCC, and SAV (TGW's proprietary software).
  • Diagnoses and resolves issues in control systems and Linux-based environments.
  • Troubleshoots and addresses internal and external connectivity issues.
  • Deploys virtual machines (VMs) to maintain infrastructure efficiency.
  • Conducts basic PLC programming, using Siemens TIA Portal and Rockwell Studio 5000, to support automation and controls processes.
  • Creates standard documentation to ensure consistent practices and compliance.

What you'll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Some internship or full-time experience supporting full project lifecycles within material-handling industry.
  • Knowledge of control systems troubleshooting, PLC programming, and SCADA systems such as Ignition and WinCC
  • Understanding of electrical circuits and the ability to read electrical drawings
  • Knowledge of mechanical designs and ability to create AutoCAD drawings
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
