Job description

Experienced Surgical Tech/SPD Tech is responsible for assisting surgeons and other members of the surgical team during operations, including pre-surgery setup and post-operation tasks. Full time position available. Benefits include paid time off, retirement, insurance benefits for full time employees.

Duties:
  • Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment, and supplies.
  • Ensures good working order of equipment and instruments.
  • Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
  • Passes instruments to physician during surgery.
  • Continually accounts for number and location of instruments and supplies during surgery.
  • Assists with keeping patient rooms and common areas stocked, clean and orderly.
  • Decontaminate surgical instruments and equipment following established infection prevention protocols.
  • Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and damage.

Qualifications:
  • 3 years previous experience in plastic surgery required.

Healthcare setting:
  • Ambulatory Surgery Center specializing in Plastic Surgery located in Newport Beach, CA.

Schedule:
  • Morning shift.
  • Evening shift.
  • Occasional Saturday shifts.
