This role often involves site visits, material analysis, and sometimes historical research, providing valuable experience for those interested in heritage conservation or construction trades.

Job description

Carpenter / Interior Construction Laborer

Company: Bajco Construction Works

Job Type: Full-Time / Paid Internship Available

About the Role

At Bajco Construction Works, we specialize in bringing high-energy, custom restaurant spaces to life. We’re looking for a versatile Carpenter / Interior Construction Laborer who takes pride in building exceptional spaces from the ground up.

If you are a true "do-it-all" builder who thrives in interior buildouts—from metal studs to custom finish work—this is your opportunity to join a tight-knit team, work on exciting commercial projects, and level up your career with a company that values craftsmanship, safety, and real growth.

What You’ll Do

As an interior buildout specialist, you won't just be doing one repetitive task—you will be an integral part of shaping the modern interiors of our restaurant projects.

  • Interior Framing & Structure: Build out layout plans, erect metal stud framing, install drywall, trim, and set up structural interiors.

  • Millwork & Finishes: Professionally install custom cabinetry, countertops, trim work, siding, and specialized fixtures essential to restaurant designs.

  • Multi-Trade Support: Execute flooring installations, plastering, caulking, demolition, and restoration work across various interior build stages.

  • Blueprint Precision: Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to bring architectural designs to reality accurately.

  • Tool & Site Mastery: Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery to cut, shape, and fit materials precisely.

  • Job Site Excellence: Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient job site while collaborating closely with Project Managers, Lead Carpenters, and specialized trades.

What We’re Looking For

  • Hands-On Experience: Prior construction experience required, with a strong background in interior framing, carpentry, or commercial/restaurant buildouts highly preferred.

  • The "Do-It-All" Mindset: Comfortable tackling diverse tasks—from heavy lifting and demolition to fine trim work and countertop setting.

  • Technical Savvy: Ability to confidently read blueprints, technical drawings, and execution plans.

  • Safety First: Proven track record of adherence to site safety, proper tool handling, OSHA standards, and working at heights or on scaffolding when needed.

  • Bonus Points: Basic knowledge of construction estimating or restoration/mold remediation systems is a plus!

Why Join Bajco Construction Works?

  • Paid Every Step of the Way: All positions—including hands-on internships—are 100% paid.

  • Career Progression: We actively invest in our team through continuous skill enhancement, mentoring, and clear pathways to leadership roles.

  • Pride in Your Work: Walk into top-tier restaurant locations knowing you helped build them.

  • Great Culture: Work alongside a passionate, supportive team that prioritizes quality craftsmanship and mutual respect.
