Job description

ALO brings together mindfulness, movement, and modern technology. Our retail experiences are thoughtfully designed, from studio to store to digital touchpoints, and powered by systems that must be as elegant as they are resilient.

As an intern at ALO, you won't be observing the sidelines. You'll help build technology that directly shapes how guests experience the brand every day. Here, innovation is rooted in purpose, craftsmanship, and impact.

OVERVIEW

At ALO, retail is more than a transaction-it's an experience grounded in intention, movement, and connection. As a Retail Engineering Summer Intern, you'll help build the technology that powers seamless in-store and omni-channel experiences for both customers and store associates.

This internship offers hands-on exposure to modern retail platforms, cloud-native systems, and data-driven decisioning, supporting capabilities such as Buy Online Pick In Store (BOPIS), Same Day Delivery (SDD), Ship-to-Store (STS), Ship-from-Store (SFS) and Point of Sale (POS) innovation. You'll work alongside engineers, product managers, and retail operations leaders to deliver scalable solutions that directly impact how ALO shows up in physical and digital spaces.

This role is ideal for graduate students and early-career engineers who are excited about applying strong technical fundamentals to real-world retail challenges at scale.

The ALO internship programs starts June 8th and ends July 31st. Interns will be working 40 hours a week at our San Ramon, CA office.
