Job description

Engagement Overview
  • Candidates must have branch or multi-site in Banking or Retail experience (250+ sites minimum)
  • Full-time remote contract - 40 hours/week, EST hours required
  • Immediate start required - candidates must be available to begin within 7 days of offer.

Position Summary
The Branch Security Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, operational support, and lifecycle management of physical security technology deployed across retail bank branch locations. This role ensures branch environments are protected, resilient, and compliant by supporting standard banking security systems and responding to incidents that impact safety, operations, or regulatory requirements.
The Branch Security Engineer works closely with the service delivery team to plan, design, and implement branch technologies for clients across our financial sector.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, standardize, and support branch security systems in alignment with enterprise security architecture and banking standards
  • Provide technical oversight and engineering support for new branch builds, relocations, renovations, and security technology refreshes
  • Provide Tier 2 / Tier 3 troubleshooting for branch security incidents, system outages, and device failures as associated with project installations
  • Provide on-call support to respond to critical branch security events, alarms, or system disruptions during project-initiated implementations
  • Coordinate with integrators, vendors, and service providers for installations, maintenance, repairs, and escalations
  • Develop and maintain architecture diagrams, standards documentation, and as-built records for branch security environments
  • Assist with testing, validation, and acceptance of security systems prior to branch opening or cutover

Required Technical Skills
  • Experience supporting physical security technology in branch, retail, or distributed site environments
  • Working knowledge of video surveillance systems, alarm and intrusion detection, access control systems, and duress/life-safety technologies
  • Understanding of alarm monitoring workflows, escalation procedures, and incident response models
  • Foundational networking knowledge relevant to security systems, including IP connectivity, PoE, VLANs, and LAN/WAN dependencies
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve issues under time-sensitive and high-impact conditions
  • Familiarity with documentation standards and operational handoff processes

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting security systems in financial services or other regulated industries
  • Exposure to 24x7 security operations, monitoring centers, or command-center-based support models
  • Understanding of audit, risk management, and regulatory controls related to physical security
  • Experience coordinating across IT, Facilities, Security Operations, and external vendors
  • CCNP certification preferred

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners
  • Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple concurrent branch initiatives

Work Environment
  • Hybrid work environment including office, remote, and field/branch support
  • Participation in an on-call rotation, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays
