Photography Internship- St. Louis Post-Dispatch

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch is seeking a paid photo/video intern, for the fall and spring, to help us with news and sports coverage, as well as to tell dynamic stories.ย The deadline to apply is September 4, 2026.

You'll have the chance to cover everything from breaking news to college and professional sports (including NHL, MLS and major college games). You'll also handle features and portraits. We want someone who canย craft bothย stunning still images and engaging videos. You'll be expected to work with urgency and immediacy for our digital platforms, but we'll also provide the opportunity for you to develop visual stories.

Our visual teamย membersย work closely together and push one another. Winners of the Pulitzer Prize, the Robert F. Kennedy Award and numerous NPPA awards are on our current staff.ย 

We provide you with good quality camera gear (two Canon R3 bodies and R lenses), a PC computer, a mobile internet hot spot and a shared closet full of pool lenses.

Some of the skills that will support your success here are:
