Job Description
For 2026 & 2027 Season! The Head Raft Photographer is responsible for the facilitation of photo sales for the Zoar Outdoor and Berkshire Whitewater Rafting Departments. Duties of the Head Photographer include, but are not limited to:
  • Take photographs of commercial raft trips 4-5 days/week includes weekend work.
  • Traverse steep and uneven terrain by foot. Our photo spots are in some rugged terrain.
  • Communicate in a positive, professional, and succinct manner both verbally and in writing.
  • Manage and optimize Zoar Outdoor's PicThrive account to maximize client and staff usability and maximize sales.
  • Train supplementary photographers/guides in using the cameras, photo software, and sales software.
  • Pass our Driver's Application
  • Assist in daily vehicle logistics.
  • Ensure all photo systems are functioning and maximized.
  • Take ownership of the organization of commercial photo folders and our own Google drive folders for internal distribution.
  • Display an advanced understanding of trip time tables and river maps. Chiefly, who will be where on the river, and at what time.
  • Respond to photo order emails professionally and in a timely manner.
  • Assist in morning registration tasks, provided there is time to do so.
  • Perform regular maintenance on all photography equipment and maintain an inventory of equipment needs.
  • Carry other duties as assigned and step towards non-photography tasks to maintain an overall successful operation.
