Job description

Join a dynamic healthcare team in the heart of the Midwest region as a Retail Pharmacy Manager. This role involves overseeing daily pharmacy operations with a focus on clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and efficient service delivery. You will lead a dedicated pharmacy team, ensuring the highest standards in prescription compounding, dispensing, and patient care.
Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and direct all daily activities of the retail pharmacy to guarantee accuracy and compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures to support regulatory adherence and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee staffing, scheduling, and workload distribution to meet patient and business demands.
  • Serve as the Pharmacist-in-Charge and primary liaison with regulatory agencies.
  • Maintain thorough documentation, prepare for audits, and ensure readiness for inspections.
  • Supervise clinical verification processes, patient counseling, and communication with healthcare providers.
  • Address patient and provider concerns in alignment with organizational policies.
  • Manage purchasing, inventory control, billing, and third-party reimbursement processes.
  • Monitor expenses and contribute to budget management and performance goals.
  • Recruit, train, and evaluate pharmacy staff to foster professional growth and maintain high standards.

Education
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited pharmacy program is required.
Experience
Preferred: At least one year of retail pharmacy management or supervisory experience, including internships.
Licensure and Certification
Must hold or be eligible to obtain a current pharmacist license within 90 days in the relevant state. Active membership in pharmacy organizations is encouraged.
Mental and Physical Requirements
This position requires sustained mental concentration on complex operations. Physical demands include standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods, with occasional lifting up to 35 pounds.
Working Conditions
