Job description

JOB LOCATION: Wilkes-Barre General Hospital - Day & Night Shift Available

Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, this position will provide one-to-one observation for patients determined to be at risk for potential injury to themselves or others.

Position Qualifications

Education:

Ability to read and write and communicate in English.

Experience/Specialized Skills/Aptitudes

One (1) year of experience in the human service field is preferred; internships/field placement experience is acceptable. Ability to develop and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients and family members/significant others; demonstrates verbal and written communication skills and the ability to express ideas in a clear, concise, and, legible form; ability to interface with all disciplines; ability to organize and prioritize multifaceted workload; exercises tact, diplomacy and good judgment at all times.

Licenses/Certificates:

Current BLS within a probationary period (90 days); and Patient Monitoring Course must be completed upon hire.
