Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Stepdown position in Nashville, TN, requiring AHA BLS and ACLS certifications and at least 1 year of experience.

Details
  • Work in a 23-bed Cardiac Stepdown / Intermediate Care Unit
  • Patient population includes adults ages 18–60+ with heart diagnoses, including sheath management and external pacemaker experience
  • Nurse-to-patient ratio of 4–5:1 based on patient acuity
  • Staffing team includes RNs, LPNs, PCTs, and Nurse Interns; RNs assume full responsibility for their patient team
  • Night shift: 18:45–07:15
  • 13-week contract
Requirements
  • Active RN license in Tennessee or a valid Compact RN license
  • Current AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications required
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification required (Group A updated yearly; Groups B–F updated every 2 years)
  • Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
  • Successful completion of a proctored cardiac rhythm test required
  • Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a valid US home address
  • 2 professional references required for consideration
  • Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
  • Full Social Security Number and full date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
  • Provide nursing care to cardiac stepdown patients, including those requiring sheath management and external pacemaker monitoring
  • Local candidates are welcome to apply; however, candidates residing within the facility's radius may be subject to a reduced pay rate
  • COVID-19 vaccination is not required for this position
