To excel as an Internship Owner Operator Pneumatic, you generally need a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL), a clean driving record, and a basic understanding of pneumatic trailer operation. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems, electronic logging devices (ELDs), and pneumatic loading/unloading equipment is typically required. Strong time management, attention to detail, and effective communication are valuable soft skills in this role. These qualifications and skills ensure safe, efficient transport of materials and compliance with industry regulations, supporting successful operations.

What are some common challenges faced by Internship Owner Operator Pneumatics, and how can they be addressed?

As an Internship Owner Operator Pneumatic, one common challenge is adapting to the demanding schedule and physical requirements of hauling pneumatic loads, which often involve long hours and strict delivery deadlines. Company Description

Tex Sand Transport specializes in the transportation of dry‐bulk commodities, including salt, lime, cement, barite, sand, and fly ash. We operate a 100% Owner‐Operator fleet built on consistent freight volume, secured rates, and long‐term stability—no slow seasons and no chasing freight.
Our operations span the state of Texas, with the highest lane concentration in the DFW Metroplex and the Austin, Houston, and San Antonio markets. Additional lanes serve North, West, and South Texas, with select operations extending into Louisiana and Oklahoma.
We offer opportunities for experienced Owner‐Operators with their own equipment, as well as driver‐to‐owner match opportunities for qualified drivers who are looking to partner with an established Owner‐Operator already in our fleet. We work closely with our owners to ensure their trucks stay running with steady, reliable loads and the right drivers behind the wheel.
We continue to invest in growth by securing new customer contracts and expanding lanes as we add trucks and drivers—creating ongoing opportunity across our operation.
Why Drivers Choose Tex Sand Transport:
Driver‐First Focus – When our drivers make money, everyone succeeds. We prioritize steady work, reliable freight, and clear communication so drivers can focus on earning.
Consistent Volume, Stable Rates – Our freight is contract‐based, not spot‐market dependent, providing stability you can count on.
Opportunities With or Without Your Own Truck – Whether you own your equipment or are looking to be matched with an Owner‐Operator, we help connect drivers to the right fit.
Strong Owner Support – We work hand‐in‐hand with our Owner‐Operators to keep trucks moving and drivers working.
No Slow Seasons – Year‐round freight keeps income steady and predictable.
Growing Fleet = Growing Opportunity – As contracts expand, so do lanes, trucks, and earning potential for our drivers and owners.
