Job Title: Intern, Organizational Effectiveness & Talent Development

Organization: National Endowment for Financial Education

Reports To: Vice President, Organizational Effectiveness & Operations

Location: Hybrid - Downtown Denver, Colorado - Local remote work is offered

Type: Part-time, Internship, Non-Exempt

Position Summary


We are seeking a paid, part-time intern to support strategic initiatives related to organizational effectiveness, leadership development, talent management, succession planning, employee engagement, and professional development. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with an executive leader and gain hands-on experience helping shape organizational culture, employee growth, and organizational strategy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


You will be responsible for the following in this position:

  • Research best practices and emerging trends related to leadership, organizational development, talent management, and workplace culture.
  • Support the development of leadership competencies, career growth frameworks, promotion criteria, and succession planning processes.
  • Assist with talent reviews, workforce planning, and employee development initiatives.
  • Design and develop training materials, learning resources, presentations, and toolkits.
  • Co-facilitate and, when appropriate, lead training sessions, workshops, and professional development programs.
  • Collect and analyze employee feedback, program outcomes, and other organizational data.
  • Develop presentations, reports, communications, and recommendations for leadership.
  • Coordinate project plans, action items, and follow-up activities for strategic initiatives.
  • Serve as a strategic project partner by helping move ideas from concept to implementation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications


  • Interest in organizational development, leadership development, talent management, human resources, learning and development, consulting, or nonprofit leadership.
  • Strong research, analytical, writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to think strategically while managing details and deadlines.
  • Comfortable presenting, facilitating discussions, and working collaboratively.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Self-starter who is curious, proactive, and comfortable working independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Junior, Senior, recent graduate, or graduate student in Organizational Development, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Human Resources, Organizational Leadership, Communications, Education, or a related field.

Location and Hours


This position can be completed primarily remotely within the Denver Metro area. Hours are flexible, totaling approximately 8-10 hours/week. The internship is expected to continue through December 2026.


Compensation


Compensation for this internship is $20/hour, paid semi-monthly on the 1st and the 15th.
