The Medical Assistant will work onsite at our community health clinic, primarily Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional weekends or evening shifts required for special events or emergencies. • Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and meticulously updating electronic health records (EHR) to ensure accurate patient information.
• Greet patients warmly upon arrival, collect thorough medical histories, and prepare them for examinations, fostering an atmosphere of trust and comfort.
• Assist physicians during patient examinations and minor surgical procedures, demonstrating expertise in medical equipment and maintaining a sterile environment.
• Collect and prepare specimens for laboratory testing, ensuring proper labeling and documentation in compliance with established protocols.
• Administer medications, including injections, under the supervision of physicians, adhering strictly to safety guidelines and dosage instructions.
• Conduct basic laboratory tests, such as urinalysis and EKGs, documenting results accurately to support clinical decision-making.
• Educate patients on medication instructions, treatment options, and general healthcare guidance, utilizing exceptional communication skills to enhance patient understanding.
• Carry out routine patient care tasks, including measuring vital signs and documenting patient information with precision.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in examination rooms, ensuring that instruments are sterilized and medical supplies are adequately stocked.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care and contribute to comprehensive treatment plans.

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and multidisciplinary teams.
• Able to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.

• Prior experience as a Medical Assistant in a dermatological or medical outpatient setting is advantageous.
• Familiarity with medical billing and coding processes is a plus.
• Experience in direct patient care, showcasing a compassionate and patient-centered approach.
