Job description

Wolfram Research, creator of Mathematica, Wolfram|Alpha and the Wolfram Language, has an exciting opportunity available for an Interactive Math Content Developer to join its Wolfram|Alpha Math Content team. The main goal of this position is to create new interactive features for the Wolfram|Alpha website, such as interactive drawing tools, plotting features and step-by-step solutions. This position will not only work with the math content team but will also have some interactions with the Wolfram|Alpha Web R&D department.

Responsibilities:
  • Helping refactor the way step-by-step solutions are presented, and expanding how users interact with them
  • Making 3D plots and graphics rotatable and interactive within Wolfram|Alpha
  • Converting static 2D plots into manipulatable 2D plots (drag, zoom, etc.)
  • Exploring (and implementing) other areas where Wolfram|Alpha math content could be more interactive and user friendly
  • Bachelors degree in mathematics or computer science is required
  • Knowledge of HTML and CSS
Preferred requirements:
  • Experience with the Wolfram Language is a plus
