Job Description:

The Ole Miss Athletics Marketing & Fan Experience Department is seeking an Associate Director of Marketing and Fan Experience. The Associate Director of Marketing & Fan Experience will support the marketing department efforts for fan and student engagement initiatives at Ole Miss, working to create memorable and unique experiences. This position will report to the Associate AD for Marketing & Fan Experience, with the goal of overseeing the implementation and management of marketing strategies to drive attendance, promotion, and engagement of athletic events, as well as increase the overall visibility of Ole Miss Athletics. Duties will include development and implementation of marketing plans for select sports, fan experience initiatives and enhancement of fan engagement with Ole Miss Athletics. The selected candidate will serve alongside communications and creative directors on external teams, which will develop, implement and evaluate communications and promotional plans for select sports.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the lead contact from the office of Marketing and Fan Experience working in partnership with the Ole Miss Men's Basketball Director of Marketing, and primary support for Ole Miss Volleyball and other assigned programs
  • Oversee script construction and in-game presentation for men's basketball and volleyball
  • Assist with marketing efforts for Ole Miss football program Lead Digital Marketing efforts
  • Assist with the administration of the Club Red student section Assist with oversight of the FSL relationship with athletics
  • Assist with the oversight of the marketing internship
  • Build promotions plans for assigned sports inclusive of theme days, giveaway items and fan experience elements
  • Collaborate with external and internal staff on promotions plans
  • Manage marketing budgets for assigned sports
  • Collaborate with Ticket Operations and OMAF on ticket sales and group outreach plans for assigned sports
  • Oversee creation and execution of all advertising elements for assigned sports
  • Collaborate with Ole Miss Sports Properties to create, implement and fulfill sponsorship opportunities
  • Produce marketing-focused emails across assigned sports designed to drive attendance to events and generate revenue through the sale of tickets
