Position: PEB_MBS_Designer(Detailer/Drafter)

Location: Cullman / Birmingham, Alabama, USA

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Structural, or a related technical field

Domain Experience: Metal Building Systems / Pre-Engineered Buildings

Experience: 8- 15 years

Tools: MBS, Trimble Connect, Tekla Structures, AutoCAD & Navisworks.

Job Role:

We are seeking an experienced PEB_MBS_ Designer(Detailer/Drafter) to support metal building design and detailing activities. Strong client-facing communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with US-based clients and stakeholders.

Strong coordination skills with engineering, detailing, fabrication, project management, and offshore teams.

The role requires strong hands-on knowledge of Metal Building Systems (MBS/PEB), good coordination skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with engineering, detailing, fabrication, and project teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strong hands-on experience in Metal Building Systems / Pre-Engineered Buildings (MBS/PEB) demonstrated US project exposure will be preferred.
  • Experience with MBS_PEB modelling and detailing.
  • Ability to read and interpret structural, architectural, and engineering drawings.
  • Understanding of fabrication and erection requirements.
  • Knowledge of US metal building industry practices and standards is preferred.
  • Good knowledge of drawing preparation, checking, and document control.
  • Comfortable working with both onsite and offshore engineering/detailing teams.
  • Develop and review MBS/PEB building models, layouts, framing arrangements, and associated design/detailing deliverables.
  • Review model outputs, drawings, BOM/MTO, and fabrication-related information for completeness and accuracy.
  • Identify clashes, inconsistencies, constructability issues and provide resolution.
  • Support preparation and checking of shop/fabrication drawings and related
  • Assist in developing standard practices, checklists, templates, and workflows for MBS/PEB projects.
