JOB | Senior Mechanical Engineer | Arendonk

  • Monitor, review and optimize mechanical engineering work performed by external engineering partners
  • Critically assess designs, calculations, specifications and technical documentation
  • Coordinate and review mechanical systems such as HVAC, piping, fire detection & fire fighting systems, lifting equipment and auxiliary systems
  • Safeguard technical consistency, applicable standards, client requirements and legal regulations
  • Take technical ownership of mechanical engineering activities within your project scope
  • Align closely with electrical and automation engineers to ensure correct interface integration
  • Act as the technical point of contact for project teams, partners, suppliers and subcontractors
  • Support tender activities for offshore substations by analysing specifications, contracts and scope descriptions
  • Identify technical risks, ambiguities and potential red flags in tender dossiers
  • Support construction and commissioning by defining procedures and reviewing operational and maintenance manuals
Your magic skills
  • Holds a Masterโ€™s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical education
  • Has extensive experience as a mechanical engineer in offshore wind, shipbuilding, heavy industry or similarly complex project environments
  • Possesses in-depth knowledge of multiple mechanical systems (HVAC, piping, fire systems, lifting equipment, etc.)
  • Has experience supervising and coordinating external engineering firms or partners
  • Thinks critically, works in a structured manner and challenges technical decisions when needed
  • Communicates fluently in English; knowledge of Dutch, French or German is an asset
  • Is primarily based in Arendonk and regularly present on site in Hoboken or the Netherlands (Vlissingen)
