Physical Therapist opening near Fort Lauderdale, FLLocated in Boca Raton, FL - Ft Lauderdale 20mFull-time; PermanentEmployed Overview:The Physical Therapist (PT) works with patients to improve their movement and manage their pain. The PT uses a variety of techniques to help patients, including manual therapy, strengthening and stretching exercises, electrical stimulation, laser, ultrasound, ice/heat, and much more. The PT will commonly work with patients who suffer from back and neck injuries, fractures, neurological disorders, work or sports-related injuries, and other conditions. The treatments a physical therapist chooses will depend on the patient and their injury. Responsibilities require discretion, judgment, tact, poise, and the ability to prioritize, document patient progress, and research medical materials and issues. The position requires the ability to work independently and collaboratively in solving patient problems.--- Essential Responsibilities:* Review patients’ medical histories to inform evaluations and care.* Diagnose patients by observing movements and listening to concerns.* Develop and submit individualized treatment plans to management promptly.* Define clear goals and expected outcomes for each patient plan.* Use manual therapy, stretching, exercises, and equipment to treat pain and mobility issues.* Provide care to increase mobility and prevent future pain or injury.* Record patient progress and update plans of care as needed.* Generate a detailed physical therapy evaluation within 48 hours of initial visit.* Safely and correctly use all facility modalities in a professional manner.* Administer individualized and group workouts, including HIIT, PREs, and exercise prescriptions.* Educate patients and families on the recovery process and expectations.* Help restore patients' physical function post-surgery, illness, or injury.* Introduce evidence-based exercises and wellness strategies.* Maintain a professional, welcoming demeanor with patients, families, and visitors.* Instruct PTAs and Rehab Techs in specific therapy tasks under supervision.* Collaborate with other medical professionals to improve care outcomes.* Conduct discharge planning and complete Physical Therapy Discharge Summaries.* Recommend workflow improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.* Participate in weekly staff meetings and clinical in-services.* Support our mission through special projects and cultural engagement.--- Qualifications:1.Proven work experience as a Physical Therapist through internship or prior work experience.2.Maintain a current and active Physical Therapist license within the State of Florida or equivalent.3.Knowledge of Microsoft 365 suite and written business communication practices is required.4.Experience exercising discretion and confidentiality with sensitive patient information.5.Ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff and management is required.6.Manual skills experience and Advanced certifications.7.Familiarity with tele/video conferencing technology.8.Excellent oral and written communications skills are also required.9.Excellent organizational skills with ability to think proactively, multi-task and prioritize work.--- Skills:* Stamina * Compassion * Interpersonal communication skills * Attention to detail* Dexterity * Creative problem solving* Resourcefulness * Time management--- About the Area:Boca Raton, FL, with a population of around 100,000 residents, is an upscale and vibrant coastal community located in Palm Beach County in South Florida.
