Job description

Overview

Driver Assistant – $3,000 Sign-On Bonus (to be paid throughout the first year of employment).

Located in Beaver, PA – Full-Time – Daylight – Typical working hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Driver Assistant rate starts at $15 per hour.

Lutheran SeniorLife provides a comprehensive array of community-based health and social service programs throughout western Pennsylvania.

Our services include LIFE (Living Independence for the Elderly); skilled nursing, home health; personal care; adoption & foster care; assisted living; adult day services; memory care; hospice; palliative care; residential living; affordable housing; home safety monitoring; Meals on Wheels; rehabilitation services and private duty.

LIFE is a program that serves county residents living in Armstrong, Butler, Beaver and Lawrence Counties. It is an all-inclusive comprehensive program that helps individuals maintain their independence in their home and community through supportive services. The LIFE programs offer an array of person-centered services from medical care to adult day supports with the primary goal of allowing individuals to remain in their own home.

Driver Asisstant primarily responsible for providing transportation/escort services for participants. To assist with the overall transportation coordination needs of participants, including communication as part of the interdisciplinary team. Knowledge and support of the mission and values of Lutheran SeniorLife are important to successful performance, as are commitment to and demonstration of a spirit of teamwork.

Qualifications

Driver Assistant requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

  • At least one (1) year experience in working with the frail or elderly population.

  • Valid driver’s license.

  • Driving record free from infractions including, but not limited to, DUI, negligent, reckless, or excessive minor infractions and convictions.
