Withum is seeking accounting majors graduating in the upcoming academic year to join our Tax team as part of the November 2026 class. This is a great opportunity to launch your career in public accounting by working alongside experienced tax professionals. You'll gain hands-on experience in individual and business tax preparation, compliance, and planning, while supporting clients across diverse industries.
What You'll Do:
As part of a team supervised by a Manager or Partner, you may:
  • Prepare federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and nonprofits.
  • Assist with tax planning and research projects using authoritative sources and Withum's proprietary tools.
  • Analyze financial data and apply tax regulations to client scenarios.
  • Collaborate with audit and advisory teams to ensure integrated client service.
  • Participate in client meetings and contribute to strategic discussions.
  • Leverage tax technology platforms and data analytics tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Stay current on evolving tax laws and industry trends.
  • Assume increasing responsibility on engagements as your proficiency grows.
  • Miscellaneous tasks as assigned

What We're Looking For:
  • Graduated or graduating college student pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Preferred: 150 credit hours and prior internship experience with a public accounting firm
  • Strong analytical, communication and organizational skills
  • A collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn and grow
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with tax software is a plus
  • Ability to work in one of our office locations

Compensation & Benefits:
For positions in California, New York City, and Washington, the salary range is $78,000-$85,000, based on role, location, and individual qualifications. Withum also offers a competitive benefits package and bonus program based on individual and firm performance. Learn more at withum.com/careers.
