Job Description
Are you a passionate and driven IT student with a strong aptitude for technology? Pilot Company is seeking a Network Operations Intern to join our team in Knoxville, Tennessee, for the summer of 2027. This is a unique opportunity to gain real-world technical support experience, directly contributing to our goal of maintaining a reliable and high-performing network.
In this role, you'll be an integral part of our Network Operations team, assisting with essential support tasks that will boost our efficiency and improve network performance. This role will have an impact on resolving critical issues, ensuring operational excellence across our infrastructure, stores, and for our team members and guests.
What You'll Do
Your responsibilities may include:
  • Maintain a reliable network: Assist with network monitoring, incident response, and maintenance to help improve uptime and efficiency.
  • Enhance operational efficiency: Handle essential support tasks to help us scale network operations and ensure a high-performing network.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues: Work under pressure to solve problems, using critical thinking and multi-tasking skills to coach team members through troubleshooting.
  • Support our infrastructure: Contribute to the support of our infrastructure, stores, team members, and guests, ensuring a positive experience for all.
  • Work with relevant tools: Utilize your aptitude with technology.

Qualifications
What We're Looking For
  • Education: A student pursuing a Technology or IT degree, with coursework or experience in networking, cybersecurity, and/or infrastructure.
  • Experience: Experience in a service desk, help desk, or guest support role is a plus. Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Cisco certs like CCNA are also a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Strong aptitude with technology, with proficiency in the MS Office Suite and Excel. Knowledge of Cisco tools and scripting is a plus.
  • Soft Skills: A passion for our clients and guests, the ability to work well under pressure, excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and the ability to multi-task and coach others through technical issues.
