Job description

Quality Assurance Technician

We are seeking a motivated recent engineering graduate to join our team as a Quality Technican in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity to begin your career in a highly regulated industry, gaining exposure to industry-leading quality systems and standards such as AS9100, NADCAP, and ISO.

In this role, you will support quality assurance processes, ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement. You will receive hands-on training and mentorship while developing the technical and professional skills needed to grow into a key contributor within our quality organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the position include:

  • Learn and apply key quality standards (AS9100, NADCAP, ISO9001)
  • Review Customer purchase orders and specification to ensure compliance with requirements
  • Prepare and issue Certificates of Conformance (CoC) for finished products
  • Support and gradually take ownership of the document control system (Processing and tracking document revisions, maintaining version control, coordinating communication and training for updates)
  • Participate in internal audits (preparing audit documentation, assisting with audit execution, documenting findings and supporting corrective actions)
  • Review and maintain quality records for accuracy, completeness, and traceability
  • Assist with the calibration program (tracking inspection and measurement equipment, understanding basic metrology concepts)
  • Support or perform First Article Inspections (FAI)
  • Maintain and update supplier quality documentation and records
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to support process improvements and problem-solving initiatives

Qualified candidates will possess the following experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Materials, Chemical, or related field)
  • 0–2 years of experience (internships, co-ops, or relevant academic projects preferred)
  • Ability to read and interpret: Engineering drawings, technical specifications, process documentation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and basic statistics or data analysis
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
